We get things right, and when we don’t, we fix them fast and say so.
If a story contains a factual error, we correct the story as soon as the error is confirmed and append a correction note stating what was wrong and when it was fixed. Significant corrections stay on the story permanently. We don’t quietly rewrite published work.
Clarifications — where a story was accurate but unclear — are noted the same way.
