Downtown Guerneville’s First Saturday ArtWalk runs from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, with handmade brooms, photography, ceramics, metal wall sculptures and a free party-hat project, according to River Arts, the nonprofit that coordinates the walk.
The Larkdales will play on the street near the Blue Door Gallery, and Justis Jones will play near the Oli Gallery. The Larkdales are Lark Coryell, Mark Shepherd and Jim Kamphoefner, a vocal Americana group with guitar and bass that plays bluegrass, folk and country, according to the band’s website.
River Arts provides the street musicians, along with community art, signage and publicity for the walk.

Window art and a new mural
River Arts decorates downtown windows with seasonal art three times a year. The fall display was made by Mary Yates, Katherine Norris, Alisa Clapp and Patty Bailey, with support from Creative Sonoma and Sonoma County.
The group’s new Mandala Mural, 75 feet long, is on the back wall of Guerneville Liquor Store, facing Westamerica Bank. Douglas DeVivo designed it, and 25 community volunteers painted it, including Sonoma County Supervisor Lynda Hopkins. River Arts credits Creative Sonoma and Hopkins’ office for their support.
River Arts is looking for volunteers for its community art events and other projects. Contact info@RiverArtsGuerneville.org.
